Anna Kendrick Films ‘The Dating Game’ Hitches Multiple Distributors
The real-life thriller dating game, which will have Anna Kendrick as star and director, has gained some momentum. She will play real bachelor Cheryl Bradshaw from the popular ’70s matchmaking show. Bradshaw chose Rodney Alcala for her date; Alcala turned out to be an active serial killer. The dating game became a fixture after Anna Kendrick introduced it in person to AGC Studio CEO Stuart Ford. AGC Studio is fully financing the film. Several distributors jumped at the chance to get the film at the Toronto International Film Festival. Telepool from Germany pre-brought the film. Signature Entertainment has the rights to it in the UK and Ireland. Sun Distribution has it for Latin America. Lucky Red has the Italian rights for the film. Roadshow Films has scored the rights to the real-life thriller film for Australia.

Anna Kendrick is currently promoting her movie Alice, darling above The dating game. The actor is an executive producer of the HBO series Love life. Now Anna Kendrick will wear different hats for the real-life thriller The dating game. She is a singer, dancer, producer and now director. All true crime junkies know the story of infamous killer Rodney Alcala, but not so much of his date Cheryl Bradshaw. Kendrick’s role will shed light on what exactly happened between her and Alcala. The real-life thriller The dating game isn’t even done yet but Anna Kendrick already has several distributors lined up. With the support of AGC Studio, the film got off to a good start.
